Mickey Mouse Club

The Mickey Mouse Club was a Disney tv show, broadcast on ABC from 1955, that used children, programmed in MK Ultra, as Mouseketeers (MK). It was created by Walt Disney and Hal Adelquist. It hosted by Jimmie Dodd. The Mickey Mouse Club was sponsored by company Mattel, who marketed the Barbie doll in 1959 (doll programming to enforce alter ego's). It was revived in 1989 on the Disney Channel.

Adelquist attended Los Angeles High School like Charles Bukowski, jesuit Johnny Cochran (OJ Simpson), John Cage, Dustin Hoffman, Piper Laurie, Bud Schulberg (On the Waterfront), George Takei (Star Trek).

Jimmie Dodd played in MGM movie Easter Parade with Judy Garland. Host Freddie Newman was trained at Harvard, played a voice character in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (white rabbit Alice in Wonderland programming) and worked for Jim Henson and his Muppet Show.

Anette Funicello's closest friend was Shelley Fabares, married to Laurel Canyon managar Lou Adler. Funicello and Burr played in Lots of Luck with Mia Dillon (wife of Keir Dullea). Funicello and Gillespie played in Rainbow Road to Oz (Wizard of Oz programming).

0'Brien, Cole Baird, Burr, Funicello all went to Hollywood Professional School like Judy Garland, John Drew Barrymore, Mickey Rooney, Jill St John (James Bond), Mackenzie Philips (John Philips), Carl Wilson (The Beach Boys), Piper Laurie, Yvette Mimieux, Sue Lyon, Bobby Driscoll, Peggy Lipton, Melanie Griffith, Val Kilmer, Betty Grable, Ann Miller, Lana and Nathalie Wood.

They were used in tours in Australia. In the 80's the Mouseketeers were used in Disneyland.

In 1989 the Mickey Mouse Club was revived as the All New Mickey Mouse Club on Disney Channel, recorded at the Ed Sullivan Theatre with Fred Newman as host. New Mouseketeers were Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling, JC Chasez, Keri Russell, Justin Timberlake (Jessica Simpson as auditioning candidate). JC Chasez released album Schizophrenia on Jive/Zomba with mirror alters symbolism.

In 2015 SM Entertainment and Disney Channel Korea created a Korean version of the MMC, hosted by Leeteuk of Super Junior.

In 2017 a Malaysian version was created.
