Leonard Cohen

Leonard Cohen was a Canadian mind controlled singer of jewish Lithuanian descent, used in the media and music industry (Columbia Records). In the 60's he was part of the Factory of Andy Warhol and Chelsea Hotel scene in NY. His grandfather was the first president of the Canadian Jewish Congress (later succeeded by Samuel Bronfman). He was educated at Columbia University. He was a member of the Congregation Shaar Hashomayim like Charles Bronfman.

He was a friend of Irving Layton (inspiration for Bob Dylan, Allen Ginsberg) and modernist poet Louis Dudek (friend of Ezra Pound, treated at St Elizabeth's mental hospital).

From 1951 he was educated at McGill University where Ewen Cameron did MK Ultra research from 1953 (trauma based mind control research with electroshocks, sensory deprivation, LSD induced coma).

He was a member of Zeta Beta Tau. He was influenced by WB Yeats (HOGD).

His song Suzanne was covered by Judy Collins (Colonna, Greenwich Village scene) and Joan Baez.

At the Chelsea Hotel he had a relationship with Janis Joplin (Haight-Ashbury scene). His producer John Simon also produced Joplin and the score of Frank Perry's Last Summer.

His son Adam Cohen was raised on the Greek island Hydra and in Greenwich Village. His girlfriend Marianne Ihlen was the ex-wife of Norwegian writer Axel Jensen, treated by Tavistock psychologist RD Laing and Noel Cobb. Axel Jensen's son had LSD induced mental problems.

In 1973 he visited Israel during the Yom Kippur War and performed for Ariel Sharon in the Sinai desert.

Adam Cohen was also signed by Columbia Records and recorded with Virginie Ledoyen (with Leonardo di Caprio on island in The Beach).

He had a relationship with Hollywood actress Rebecca De Mornay (Risky Business with Tom Cruise).

He was a friend of Alexander Trocchi (gay agenda, Olympia Press of Maurice Girodias).

John Cale and later Jeff Buckley (son of Laurel Canyon singer Tim Buckley, drowned in 1997) covered his song Hallelujah.

In 2019 Nick Broomfield released Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love.
