Horus was a mythological god in Ancient Egyptian mythology, derived from the Aryan solar god Harya, with the head of a hawk, seen as the son of Osiris (identified with Orion) and Isis (identified with Sirius). Osiris was a Dying God, God of the Underworld with 42 judges (24 nr of Jupiter). During spring he was reborn as his rising son Horus on the horizon, who avenges his father by killing Set (Saturn).

The pineal gland (one eye symbolism) was seen as the Eye of Horus. Apart from the sun, it was also associated with Mars.

In Greece the sun god was Apollo.

From 1904 Aleister Crowley became the prophet of the Aeon of Horus (the child).

Project Bluebird referred to the blue bird Horus.

Pop stars play the role of the child Horus.
