Granite
Granite is a rock formed through cooling (solidification) of silica rich magma (igneous rock, paramagnetic), composed of quartz (crystal), mica (dielectric) and alkali feldspar (radioactive potassium 40-sodium), found in the earth's crust. Like most stones, it is a source of radiation. It can be red, pink, white and grey. It used in gravestones (death is associated with coldest planet Saturn) and memorials (introduced by the Scottish McDonald's family). | ![]() |
The Egyptians used granite, mortar and limestone and quartz crystal to make obelisks and in the Red Pyramid (North Pyramid), Menkaure's Pyramid, the pyramidion capstone of the Black Pyramid and sarcophagus of the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid.
The Hindu's built the Brihadeeswarar Temple, dedicated to Shiva.
The Buddhists built the Seukguram Grotto in Korea in granite.
