Bram Stoker
| Abraham Stoker was an Irish writer, occultist and secret service agent. He was affiliated with the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (rosicrucianism, cult of mercury) with Maud Gonne, Sara Allgood, Arnold Bennett, AC Doyle, WB Yeats, Samuel McGregor Mathers, Edith Nesbitt (Fabian Society) and Aleister Crowley. He was educated at Trinity College Dublin and president of its University Philosophical Society like JB Yeats, Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett,.. In London he was manager of the Lyceum Theatre (first exhibition of Madame Tussauds), where he worked with Pamela Coleman Smith (Rider-Waite Tarot deck). He was a friend of pm and mason William Gladstone and painter James Abbot McNeil Whistler (friend of Symbolists like Stephane Mallarmé). He had a homosexual relationship with poet Walt Whitman. In 1877 he wrote Gothic horror (Romanticism) novel Dracula about Romanian prince Vlad Dracula (Draco-Orion bloodline, Order of the Dragon, ancestor of Charles Battenberg). Blood drinking is practiced in satanic rituals. Castle Dracula was based on the Scottish New Slains Castle (concept used in castle programming).
He wrote a biography of mason Henry Irving.
